Stator wiring question

I am replacing the stator wiring harness in my 1972 CB750K2. The new harness has 3 yellow wires in it. There are also 3 existing wires that it attaches to coming from the existing stator. Because the wires are covered in sheathing, I can't tell which yellow wire is which. Does it matter which yellow wire from the new harness attaches to which yellow wire from the existing stator? Thanks for any help.

Hey man can you identify the 2 solid blue wires, the white with red stripe and the blue with red stripe.

What bike and year is this from? What do the wires attach to?

Assuming it is for the stator per the 3 yellow wires. My bike is a 1972 CB750. For me, the wire colors for that are 3 yellow, blue w/ red stripe, green, white, and lt green with red stripe.

If you don't have the Honda CB750 shop manual, download it free from many sites. On page 169, there is a list of all the colors used in the wiring harness and where they go. There is also a wiring diagram on the following page.

Obviously someone may have swapped out correct wire colors with replacement wires of another color
