So had an issue with cylinder 4 and 3 not getting enough spark and bike idling a little wonky. I reset the carbs to two turns out replaced the coil packs wires and spark plugs and fired the bike up. It sounded a lot better and seemed to be idling a lot better then the head light cut out and we killed the power and it would not fire back up. Took the seat back off and discovered that this part blew out.

I have no idea what this part is if anyone can help identify it. Also what could have caused the blow out in the part.

Would the coil packs be the right ones for the bike. Would I need to set up some kind of resistor for these packs

Also looking for a solid wiring diagram for the coil packs to their respective cylinders. I have them wired currently with coil pack on the left going to cylinder 1&4 and coil pack on right going to cylinder 2&3.

Bike is a 1982 cb750f super sport.

Thank you very much for the help

I forget the name but you can find them at partzilla.com. look up your bike and go to (I think) ignition. They will not be available but you can find some on ebay using that part number.
I will need other members to help identify anybody selling other ones.

They are called CDI ignition modules...
Is one "blow up" like you said, than most definitely your bike will not fire up on affected cylinders.

I just looked and what i can see is at the very end of this diagram it might be the part no part number to go off of on partzilla list

New ones would be most desirable BUT majority of new electronics are made in China so take that for what it's worth...
I purchased few spre original ones when that time comes.

I'm looking at new parts are around $130 preside. But I can get one side on a used one for $30. I might do the used one then if it blows again I'm only out $30 not $130..... That my thoughts there but also If I can find a very good reputable place to purchase a new Honda OEM part then I have no problem getting new..... Just worried about Chinese garbage on my food Japanese bike ya know
