Spark problem

Hi All
I have a cb 900 f (bol- de- or ) 1981 model
I fitted air pods to it and it didn't run correctly so i decided to put it back to stock air filter , I thought it might be easier to remove the battery and cage to give more room to re- fit carbs and air filter .
Gave up on that and re- fitted carbs the old way , re-fitted the cage and battery and now it wont start !!!!
With all plugs removed it sparks once only on left hand coil ht leads and nothing as it turns over but sparks all the time on right hand coil ??
I have tried new plugs and swopping over the coils and wires and the cdi ignitors to no avail , (still the same )
anyonr got any ideas ???

Have you tested the resistance of both coils with an ohmmeter?

whats the correct firing order on a cb 900 f 1981
1-2-3-4 looking from above and facing forwards ,on the coils goes to which cylinder please.
I know its a silly question but im having a senior moment ]
