Hi all,

Recently went for about an hour ride on my 79, and then came to an intersection where I stalled the bike. Then for some reason, the bike would not start back up. Battery definitely seemed weak as it didn't want to roll over like it normally does.

Ended up waiting about an hour and tried to jump it off a 12v car battery.. once I had the extra juice, the starter was rolling over great, but no way would that thing start. Definitely had gas, also seemed to me like it didnt have spark? Was almost like my killswitch was stuck in the OFF position where it will roll over but won't send power to coils.

I waited about another half hour, hooked it up again and it started up no problem. I'm only getting about 12.1 volts on it after a solid run... shouldn't it be above 13?

Also curious to see what people think of these spark plugs.. look a bit lean to me.

Tia

Definitely sounds like a ignition issue, I would start by looking into the ignition side of wiring and confirm voltage to coils.
