I have been modifying DOHC CB750/900/1000/1100 bikes starter clutches for a couple of years now. I have been working on a way to do the same to the SOHC starter clutches. I Believe that I have finally suceeded. I remove the old starter clutch. I turn the large gear's journal down so it fits the SPRAG GEAR (I provide) and eliminates any flat spots or imperfections on the journal. I then drill & tap your rotor with 3 holes so that it matches up with the new sprag gear. I turn down the bolts so they can be flush mounted without interfering with the outer gears rotation. The sprag bearing is attached to the rotor with new low profile high strength bolts that are loctited & torqued. I assemble the gear, new sprag clutch, & modified rotor. Then it is shipped back to you. I can do all this in 2 days after receiving your parts. (Unless there is an issue with your core). I can do this for $250. You have to send me your existing starter clutch/rotor/gear so they can be modified. I also have some starter clutches already modified & ready to ship out. $325. You can buy mine & send in your old starter clutch as a core & I will refund you $75.

Contact me at delwood@charter.net if interested. Thanks, Dean
