Hi all,
Its taken a year of ownership to sort the carbs and electric systems, and on the whole the bike is running well enough to enjoy some nice rides.

But the suspension is rubbish, cheap bottom of the range rear shockers, assume original fork internals that will get a service.

Has anyone fitted decent shockers to their bike, and what sort of improvements did you get?

I am considering £800 Online replacements, they seem expensive but if I can't make this bike handle better then I fear its sloppy handling might put me in a hedge, from that perspective, there cheap :) a racing setup is not needed, just something that handles nice on the twisted

Shocks on your bike are not OEM. Hagon makes good option for vintage bikes, give them a call... For the front, install progressive springs.

Might want to also look at the swingarm ...early 750s (1979)just had nylon bushings at least for the USA model which I have..the later years a better setup...
Unsure of ur bike year..

Update on this, after some valuable procrastination time I decided that I was being dumb and should start by confirming everything was in good order before blaming poor shocks and replacing them

So I drained down the forks, the oil looked to be in good condition, but not much of it, I'm going to guess that whoever rebuilt them previously put far too little oil in them.

After putting the correct amount of oil in the fork legs the bike handled a lot better, I feel that its no longer actively trying to kill me. Now I am just waiting for the garage to fit a pair of classic attack modern radials to it, that should also improve the handling
