Hello, my name is Teo and this is my first post! My pleasure.
I created this post because I found a Honda CB750 for sale, but there are several points about it that do not match and I need help from people with more knowledge to determine what year and variant it is, since I am quite new to the subject.
To begin with and being some of the most notable aspects:
1 - Engine
2 - Wheels
3 - Forks
4 - Color and patterns
As I saw, the black color on the engine, the chrome parts, forks and that style of wheels correspond to the F2 and F3 variants, which does not match the colors of the tank and its patterns, that blue reminds me of a CB750 F SS 1975.
Although it is mainly about paint and a wheel design and I understand that it could have simply been an aesthetic modification (just liying to myself), I consider that the most realistic thing to believe is that it is a Frankenstein.
Strengthening this idea, the engine and body serial codes...
I'm from Argentina and as a general rule, these things are usually quite complicated to find.
Yes, I want a CB750 and it's not problemo if it's worn/neglected, I'm attracted to the idea of restoring it and learning through it, but there are some limits and when they're highly modified, that's one of them.
I attach some images so you can make your judgement.
Thanks for the space and sorry if I violate any forum rules, it was never my intention.
I look forward to your comments!
