hello i am in the beginning of a cafe racer build and was wondering the following. In terms of pod filters what size do i need to order to ensure they fit? I will be getting the velocity stacker type.
any help is greatly appreciated. it is a cb750 1979 KZ model

You may want to reconsider changing to pod filters. These CV carbs are almost impossible to get to run good with pods. Is there any reason on why you want pods?

as it is a cafe racer. is it this model in particular? surely if i give to a specialist once all together they can get it running well? i normally only do restores so im learning as i go on this one

thankyou this all makes sense.
will see how i go for now as its literally the very beginning. have got the bike to start but a carb leaked so will look into that first then get it running before a strip down using the airbox. unless i feel like forking out for the upgraded carbs at a later stage i dont want running issues constantly. your bike looks good with the box on so will see. at the moment no idea what im going for in terms of look anyway. but spending £1000 or so on new carbs might be a bit excessive at this point

Sounds like a good idea, I have been looking at new carbs myself but have not pulled the trigger on them yet!

For a while I was looking at this filter : https://cognitomoto.com/collections...-intake-box-sohc-and-dohc?variant=11585137601

Looks really good but unsure about its effectiveness, they recommend dynojet kit to go with it.
