Hi, first post.
Bought my 82 750 in February and at the time it was back firing on cyl 3
I found I had 20k resistance on number 3 plug cap. I’ve changed all caps and put in new HT cable. Burnt out a starter solenoid in the process but all fun n games and I’ve learned a lot. Bike no longer backfires

So with the carb off I adjusted the pilot screws to 2 full turn out. The bike ran well for 15 minutes and then it would rev last 4000 without sounding like it had bronchitis. I checked the plugs and 2 of them were black.

Now my issue is most likely too much fuel so I need to get the pilot screws in the right position.
With the carbs in the bike it’s very hard to adjust 2 and 3.
Is there a special stubby screw driver or tool that people are using. I plan to buy one so it’s easier to adjust.

Thanks
Steve (Brisbane)

Should I get a Patent on this😁

I found that a set of 1/4 inch ratchet and small socket (1/4 inch) will hold a 1/4 inch small flat bit very nicely and with small extentions you can also use these for carburator work. A good flashlight or trouble light is a must.
