Hi
I have completely overhauled my carbs cb 900 1981 with new needles etc , they keep overflowing from different carbs at different times ???
They say in the Manual to adjust the float height , but with the all plastic floats how do you adjust ???
I am beginning to suspect the needles are not long enough , are there different lengths ??

First of all your carbs are terribly filthy, you need to make them spotless.
As far as floats, make sure needle rubber tips are not damaged and nice and soft.
Also use a Q tip and polish float needle seats with some fine polish. Make sure your floats are not cracked and getting filled with fluid thus keeping needles off the seat and allowing fuel to flow...

Man, carbs are a pain. I’m still chasing down issues.

If it helps I had plastic non adjustable ones and replaced them with adjustable black ones with metal tangs. I got them from David Silver Spares or CMSNL - not cheap but do help.

Good luck with them.
