Perch too high, need help.

Just picked up a CB750 K6 and quickly realized that at 5’9” and 31 inseam my toes barely touch the ground. I don’t feel confident without flat feet to support the heavy bike on one toe/leg. How do I solve for this?
Is there a low profile seat I can install that doesn’t take away the stock look? If so, please share the link.
I’ve also read shortening the height of the shocks but may impact ride quality and utility of the kickstand (with the center stand near impossible to lever in place, this is critical).
Any other suggestions?
 
Yes, using shorter shocks will usually require a shorter side stand and make the center stand very hard to use. You could find a used seat, remove the cover, shave the foam down, and reinstall the cover. Once you're used to the bike, you probably won't have any problems with the stock seat and you could reinstall it.
 
I swapped the forks and swingarm out for a CB550. Plus installed shorty shocks.

Course the kick stand is iffy, and center stand is very difficult.

I'm five, nine as well with 31". Also have had both knees replaced. Which kinda feels like I'm even shorter.

Just keep her running well, and you shouldn't have to worry about the center stand.

I've got a low profile seat from Texavina aka Motorcycle Seat Factory in Vietnam. It's great quality and about an inch lower but I'm 5'11" w/a 32" inseam and I still keep a foot on a peg at stop lights.

I also have a set of lowering shocks brand new in the box from vintagecb750.com. I think they're a 1" drop, iirc. Ended up going w custom drop Hagons on my K4 and return shipping to vintage cb in Canada was stupid pricey, so I've still got em.
If you want them, message me. They're just collecting dust on a shelf because I'm too lazy to list them on ebay.

Think you'll need to lower both ends, to avoid affecting the handling (the weird world of rake and trail). But that will reduce ground clearance, especially at larger lean angles. I wouldn't do it if you plan to ride decent roads at pace. Lower seat is the way to go.

You're not wrong, but if the OP is worried about planting both feet flat at traffic lights, I seriously doubt they'll be carving corners so tight they'd notice a lesser lean angle. Lol.
 
Also, if you lower both ends, the side stand will not be functional, and you'll need the strength of King Kong to haul it onto the centre stand.
Welding and fabrication needed, maybe just swap out the side stand for something shorter, modify the centre stand.
And then when you finally come to sell the bike, prospective buyers will bitch like hell about the mods having ruined the bike, and then fire lowball offers at you.

You realize you can undo all of that stuff before a sale. Used side and center stands are cheap. Buy others and set aside the best of what you have.

My bike is lowered about 1/4" in the rear and 3/8" in front. I have a low profile Texavina seat, my side stand has been bent since before I bought the thing in the mid '90s, and my center stand is unmodified. I have an NOS side stand that worked fine but I like the parked aesthetic of the slightly bent one so I put it back on. I have no problem or getting it up on the center stand or w lean angle, and I guarantee I won't loose a dime on the resale of a K4. ...and OP's got a K6, not a sandcast. So long as he's not hacking it up into a cafe, he'll be fine there too imo.
