Got my tank , sidecovers and ducktail back from paint . Very good job on the finish and very good price . Now I am just waiting on the motor and the rebuild can start

Glad thats over , Flew to melbourne from toonsville . Hired a car . drove 3hrs and picked up the motor . then drove 2.5 days home over 30 hrs at the wheel . Needed a small nap after that one . Check out the valves , old mate must have bounced it off the redline a bit before it was parked in 92 . Had to swap out the 812 for an 836 , pistons would have been savable but the bores were not . Also picked up a dynatech ignition , so now I just have to put this jigsaw back together again

And the jigsaw begins . At least when it is this stripped , it is easy to do by yourself . Bit by bit and it`ll be a goer . I do have a video of the built motor but I cannot load it as the file is too big . So use your imagination and make broom , broom noises

So I go to lay out the wiring harness and start plugging in the stator and rectifier and starter relay and so forth , and wouldnt you know it , the plugs have rotted in the 2 years they have been sitting in my hot , humid shed , we have similar weather to florida . So untill I sort them out and replug them , the bike goes on the back burner for a while . On another subjet , I took a punt and bought these headlight brackets for a K7-8 from someone in australia . They dont fit with the headlight and horn clearance . So I will post them up in the classifieds over the weekend and if your willing to pay for them and postage I will sell them

Hooked up the crankcase breather after spending weeks trying to find it , it had dropped behind a shelf , so was very hard to find . Put on the oil tank and fitted the new sprocket ( 530 ) . As absolutely nobody offered me any advice , I bought a set for a 77 honda . The rear fits perfect , but the front is double shouldered , so I will be getting it machined to match the 630 fronts single shoulder . Still waiting for those harness connectors , so when they turn up I can swap them and do the harness . Little steps , but getting there slowly

Put in the wiring harness , rectifier , regulater , fuse block and rear inner guard . Got my switch gear back from being rebuilt also . I need to figure out how I can reinstate the original front blinkers then I can button up the headlight and assorted wiring . Still got heaps to do

Bench synced and set the float heights on the carbs , then fitted them . Was going over the brakes and setting them up when I noticed that the brake material had started to seperate from the backing plate , so will be getting new pads all round . Knew it was to good to be true that the pads it came with were good , even though they showed very little signs of use . They must have sat for the whole 30 yrs . So put the bodywork on to see how she`ll look , not bad I reckon

Made a blinker stem for my headlight brackets today . Not quite standard and a fraction wider , but the best I can do with what I have

A little play this arvo , put the 530 chain on and thought it would look smaller , and just sat the aircleaner on the carbs to keep any critters out . Still have to fit the delkevic 4 into 1 , bleed the brakes , wire up the harness/coils/ignition/headlight and havent even fitted any cables yet , so a bit to go , but getting there

Sourced a righthand switch with the correct aussie switches from the father land for a good price . The F2 has the wiring outside of the bars and has a notch for them , so swapped the bottom of the switch out . Will cut and replug the wires into the connector , then wire the high/low beam in to the harness
