Hey Guys, My 76 cb 750 is leaking oil around the 2 connectors/nuts , Are there suppose to be crush washers inside these 2 fittings? Thanks loads....

Talking about the oil lines to the oil tank? If so then yes there are aluminum washers in the connection that does the sealing.

Hmmm,? I better take a look at the inside of those fittings again. I dont recall seeing them. Sorry, I am referring to the oil return lines...Grrr, This FrankNBike project started in May...Where does time go Digger> Thanks so much Buddy. I will take a look and see if those washers are in there...
I cant seem to find the washer on the 76 parts fiche but they are on the earlier models. Unless they changed something in the design there should be an aluminum crush washer. In either case there needs to be something in there.

use an automotive brass washer from your Mercedes dealer

Huh? Brass, Mercedes? wha wha what...) Please indulge me sir...
Last time I checked my local honda dealer had the washers. I have never had a problem with the oem washers. They are like 50 cents a piece.

i am sure they still have them, but if not, foreign cars have used similar seals for over 100 years.
