Oil light and engine rattle on start up

Bike was going well, recent engine rebuild and lots of new parts. Took it out for a ride and oil light came on though level seemed okay.

Now when I start it there's and engine rattle and the oil light comes on, but then both dissappear as it warms up?

Did you work on the lower end in the rebuild-or was it a top-end refresh?

How long does it take for the oil light to go out?
And where is the rattle?

It was the previous owner, looks like an entire rebuild!

It should go off almost immediately if you're building oil pressure. So you have two things to check: the oil pressure switch and the oil pump.
If there is a rattle in the bottom end, I would stop riding until I figured this out. If the rattle is in the clutch, that was normal for my bike and cleared up after a couple minutes of riding.
