Hi everyone. I have a 1983 cb 750f super sport. I have completely re built it over a couple of years. Engine has only done 880 miles from fully re built. Las year it blew the main fuse on the starter relay in the side panel. From then with a new fuse. It didn’t charge the battery. I looked at the wiring loom and it had been cut and messed about with. Fortunately I had a spare. I fitted it. I have replaced (with brand new parts) the Rotor. The Stator, the Rectifier, both cdi units. Still not charging. I am waiting for the 2 new carbon brushes they contact the Rotor to arrive and after that I have no idea. So, my question is. Has anyone had this problem and if so, how did you cure it. Many thanks . Shaun.

I bought my bike in non running condition.
I had a similar issue
I think previous owner had messed around with stator cover.. bent a couple stator insulated copper wires or misalign stator.
Anyway as rotor was spinning it completely wore through those windings.
I replaced stator ….
All good now..

Blowing the main fuse could be a sign of a shorted rotor or wiring to the rotor. Have you measured the resistance to the rotor from the block under the right side cover - white wires IIRC.
