Hi everyone! I'm a newbie to the CB 750 arena, but have been building classic cars and trucks for many years. I've been interested in putting together my own cafe bike one day, and knowing this, my machine shop guy gave me these CB750 engine pieces. I've been trying to identify what I have via the net, but not sure I'm finding the right information. I have 2 cylinder heads with numbers E 1 on one and 618-1 and 146E on the other, a case cover id number CB750E 2416850 but someone has written in 73, cylinder with no identifying numbers, and connecting rods with K2. Appreciate any help! Thanks!

Do you have both case halves? The top is useless without the bottom as they are machined matched sets, but it is a K5 fyi. The cylinders are the same for the most part...top view would help identify a closer year. Cylinder heads are harder to identify but any of them would work on a "k" motor build. Connecting rods are all the same for the k model motors, depending on what you want to build will determine if you will want to use them or not. Lots of info on here and if you get into building a motor and need info or suggestions let me know.

Thanks for your help. Here's the other side of that cylinder. If I'm reading right, K5 would be a 1975?

Need a picture of the top of the cylinder, later cylinders had extra rubber seals around some of the stud holes, early ones didn't. Yes the k5 is a 75 model year. from 72 on up the year is the K#
