Welcome.
I'm a bit confused, is that bike even ride-able? It is certainly not safe or legal to do so on the street.

It's not as low as the pictures suggest. I ride it quite comfortably. As far as legality there's no law in mi about how low a bike can be. Just how high bars are.

I was referring to the lack of blinkers, 2 mirrors, front brakes, etc etc, all of which are required in MI

Requirement box does not say front OR rear, rather front AND rear. The legalese of it could bite. Any insurance covering bike could refuse to pay over that. Rear brake only on a bike like that is NOT adequate braking. BTDT.

Yeah...I get what you're saying. The pipes aren't loud but I would like to find a set that are higher and not so short. As far as front brakes you're probably right. I haven't had trouble but it doesn't mean I won't

it'll stop fine under sedate driving until your life depends on it then you'll know.............solid rears tend to hop on bumps and zero brakes when in the air.

That's the truth. I've been riding rear brake only hard tails for about 12 years now. Half of them with jockey shift and foot clutch. This is just my first cb750. Which by the way is a beast of a motor and a whole ton of fun. I've got swing arm bikes and crusiers for distance but truth be told I'm usually on one of my chops....for as long as my back will hold out anyhow lol. This cb is low and light and incredibly fast. I can't stay off of it
My back doesn't last long either with my hard tail, but its still fun. Its more for the looks then the comfort anyway.

Yeah totally lol. If I take the wife or kids out I put them on a safer more comfy machine.

Sorry about the delayed response. I totally understand what you're saying. I'm still young enough, (39) to make unwise decisions. I just really love my death trap chops. If course out of all of them this is the least death trappy lol. I do however want to get a longer front end to gain about two inches in the bottom height. It'll scrape the peg in a hard turn. Other than that I'm really happy with it. I do have a concern if you can help me. The number two cylinder seems to have a slight pop out of the exhaust while idling. I'm thinking this is a fuel issue. Is this correct? Thanks. Also here's some more pictures....hopefully lol.

A "Slight pop" from one cylinder could be from many things, a lean carb, weak spark, carbon buildup, leaky valve, exhaust pipe not sealed right.
From just pics I'd guess that #2 exhaust valve is starting to burn from running with them too short pipes.

By the looks of how dirty the carbs are on the outside I would give them a good cleaning on the inside as well. They will tolerate short exhaust fairly well in regards to exhaust valve issues but a lot of it depends on how long and how hard you run the motor and if you do a lot of high rpm decells. I have run them shorter and had no issues but again it depends on how long you run them etc. I would guess a combination of carb lean/dirty and a spark issue(old dirty plugs and old dirty points) intermittent pop in the exhaust is more from incomplete combustion in the engine (too lean for ignition, extreme rich, poor or intermittent spark in said cylinder) and it builds up till ignites in the exhaust. Lots of things to look at but by the looks of it you should go through and do complete and thorough tune up and maintenance check
