Motorcyclist burned from thrown cigarette

I knew a biker who tossed his on startup to go and it ended up in a coat pocket to be flaming moments later........he looked like a fighter plane going down. Pretty funny after realizing he wasn't badly hurt.

Not sure how this happened but a friend of mine was riding his Harley a couple of weeks ago and a lit cigarette melted his front tire...while it was moving!?!?!? Not sure how in the world that could happen.

I know of a guy that burned to death when he laid his Shadow VT500 down. The gas cap popped open somehow, the gas splashed out covering him, and the sparks from the bike sliding across the pavement ignited it.
I didn't know him myself but, I got the bike from a good friend who got it from the widow.
