Model Identification

Hi All,

I have just this evening picked up my first CB750 barn find for restoration, and I'm already in love despite the state of it.

My first question, of what I'm sure will end up as many, is what year is it? The reg and DVLA check says it's a 1979 but the chassis number suggests 1976 CB750F - 10*****

Any help much appreciated

definitely not 79. SOHC motors last year was 78. cant tell without engine and frame numbers

Beefy DVLA are crap if your bike has been imported they have a guess, my bike is 1979 DOHC japanese domestic market and imported in 1992 and DVLA made it a 1982, i had loads of trouble with them not rectifying their mistake so it had to stay as 1982.
