1991 nighthawk 750 with keihin carbs (4).
I removed the factory airbox and installed "pods" I had the carbs rejected and it's bogging really bad to point of dying. The main jet is a 120 and the idle jet is 38
Need suggestions so I don't have to go .5 at a time. In addition do I need to change the idle jet at the same increments as the main jet?

Could it be something other than the carbs causing it to "bog down"

Yes removal of the airbox is causing the bog. They will never run as well with pods then they will with the stock air box. The carbs are ultra sensitive to air low. This problem has been caused more times than I can remember yet people continue to try and use pods. It has been discussed many many times on here in the past, do a little searching on the site there should be many conversations about this topic.

Recommendation?
The factory air box is toast.
Will a larger jet get me there?
Can I restrict the pod?

i suggest you read my post on DOHC part of forum VB52A carbs i posted it on thursday at 7ish, and then maybe try to source an air box
