Got this 1981 CB750 (maybe a C???) recently, want to change forks due to them starting to leak through compressing in transport. I want to do a beefy fork swap, but ideally with little/no welding since I don’t have a welder… but I don’t mind finding one and learning slow!

Are there any modernized plug and play swaps from sport bikes? I have a 2000 kawi 750P4 parts bike that i’m considering swapping the forks over from, but it seems difficult without custom fab triple trees for the inverted. Not sure what route to go so still considering, feel free to give me ideas i’m open to doing ANYTHING. Planning on removing that godforsaken tach/speedo for mini gauges or an e-screen and then i’ll swap to pads/rotors/rims.

You need an airbox and air filter for that bike to run good with those carbs. At least get foam UNI pod filters for it.
Yeah lol, it’s missing quite a few misc parts i’ve ordered. Sorry I should’ve mentioned that... To my knowledge it needs the clutch cover gasket (p/o used RTV), clutch cable, amazon 55mm pod filters, dyno stg 1-3 jetting, some exhaust parts and the spring that’s on the rear brake. I ordered all those pieces, but i know the bike runs since he started it using his fingers on the valves instead of the choke cable. Waiting on those parts, but i wanted to begin thinking about what route to take the bike.

im gonna comment so i can folllow, literally planned on doing the smae thing, also got a C, cant really tell if urs is a C since theres no stock badging, should be on the tittle or on a sticker in the steering head
nice bike
