New to me ‘74. All original with what appears to be 2900 miles.

Here's my '75 CB750F. Bought it in running condition a couple of weeks ago. So far I have just replaced the tires and tubes (which were from 1990), flasher relay, and all of the bulbs in the instrument cluster. I have brake pads and new steel braided lines for the front brake on the way.
It runs pretty great once it is up to operating temperature, and the existing brakes do an okay job at stopping it, although the front squeaks something awful. It's a fun bike to ride, and makes my 2018 Triumph feel like a rocketship lol. I keep trying to shift into a sixth gear that the CB doesn't have.

My k5 that was in milk crates when I dug it out of a warehouse. I am the second owner. The first was a submariner on a sturgeon-class sub. ( I think silversides). I call it “Torpedo Juice”. I have extensive records of everything he did to the bike and the receipt from new. It’s got a 4-into-1 pipe that’s from the period and I’ve upgraded the wheels with aluminum rims as the old steel rims were rusty and quite pitted. There are a few other non-standard parts (headlight and headlight ears for example). It had a huge vetter fairing on it when I bought it so that had to go. I’ve had a new head gasket put in it and had the wiring harness replaced with an OEM one (so grateful to find it- the wiring was hacked to put in a stereo and the vetter fairing by the previous owner)
Such a cool machine and sounds so good. It’s been a labor of love.
Lovely paint!

Nice rides!

I got my license renewed 2 weeks ago and I hadnt been riding for ages so Im a total noob again, but this one is the one I got:

Very happy with it thus far. The only thing I'm annoyed a bit is that at some random times, the machine decides that it doesnt want to switch gears from N to 1, so I have to either switch to 2nd gear and then to 1st, or keep trying to switch to 1st for about 5-10 times. Nothing unmanagable, but I think it needs to be configured somehow.

Thanks for having me!
This is my recently acquired/inherited 71 CB750. My uncle, that passed away, had it since the mid 70s and rode it until the mid 90's and parked it in his garage under cover since then. It only has 14k on the clock. Mostly original accept a period correct sissy bar, that I will be removing which i quick photoshopped out of the pic.

It's being brought up to running spec rt now by a local Michigan mechanic, and I plan to ride back across the country to the west coast next month. Wish me luck. Feel free to follow the journey on my instagram @Akama_cb750

Cool tale!
Even 50 years on these bikes are well capable of cross country trips with little or no drama. IF the hired mech truly knows old Hondas and typical aged out parts are replaced..
I'd plan on several local days of riding before shoving off for the long haul.
Please do post up on your adventure!
I CC'd a 73 CB750 "dresser" from WI to WA and back in the summer of 77, it was great trip even if I didn't feel welcome at Sturgis!

Thanks Gary! Yeah the mechanic specializes on older bikes and he's going to be "breaking it in" over the next couple of weeks so i'm hopeful it will be smooth. Will have a friend following in chase vehicle for emergencies.

Will keep posting the adventure.
Cheers,

Thanks for the follow! I'm looking forward to the adventure as well. I'm sure it will be interesting.
If we dip down that far I will definitely let you know.

Here's the second 750 that I've owned, it was parted out and recently got parted back in. Not running yet but I'm going to find it a good home. Too many now and a couple projects left to go. Check out the 4 cable carbs, they still have the sticker on #4.

My "Bucket List" bike. A 1971 CB750K "survivor". I graduated high school in 1972 so this was my dream bike at the time. Bike is original, with the following exceptions: full HM300 exhaust system from VintageCB750.com, rear shocks, progressive front fork springs, gauges reconditioned by Randy's Cycle Service, Dyna ignition and coils, Rick's regulator rectifier, and a few other bits and pieces here and there. TINK

I also own a 2014 CB1100 Deluxe, Hondas "tribute bike" to the CB750K.

Beautiful ride

Quick update on my CB750 — just heard back from the mechanic @drmkmotorsports after chasing down a front-end wobble.
Turned out the forks were full of sludge. After a full teardown, clean, and fresh oil, it’s riding smooth again.

He took it out for a test ride and sent me the video — runs great, pulls strong.
Even better, he was repping a TrackSwag CB750 shirt while riding it, which gave me a good laugh.

Feels good to have it dialed in before the upcoming long ride from Michigan to California later this month.
