Just got her for $750, cleaned it up, it’s a time capsule with 17k miles, spent since 91’ in a storage locker. Can’t wait to finish it. 1982 CB 750 SCA NightHawk. Bad paint, missing emblems and stripes. Tank will be sent out for restoration (rust). I like this more than my 2016 GSXS-1000. Reminds me of my 81 CB 750 Super Sport. These bikes are a gift from god. Their personality is amazing. Happy, powerful. Just makes my day every ride. It’s my buddy. People always used to comment on my 81 SS.
The Harley boys and the sport riders. Need parts! Any help would be appreciated. Fuel gauge sensor and NightHawk badges seem the hardest.

Thanks CB750.com in advance

I've lurked this site for years looking up repair advice and how-to's for this build in particular, decided to join the club. Picture is a couple years old and some of the designs have changed since then but this is my 775-Beaver (82 CB750F/06 GSXR600 front and rear/70's? CB750A tank).

Here is my 93 CB750 Nighthawk. It was imported to the UK a number of years ago and I bought it last year. It has GSXR750 forks and front wheel. The tank is stripped and sealed. I'm pleased with it so far.

Thanks
Adam

I`m just going back to the past. I had a Red 1971 Honda CB 750 and I bought a 1975 to make it look like my first one. I was stationed in Germany with the US Air Force as an Aircraft mechanic working on Mcdonell douglas F4D Phantom II. I bought my first bike which was a brand new 1971 Triumph 500 Daytona three months before in which made a high speed off road incursion where I had this big crash that bent the frame removed front and rear lights and mangled the fenders. I spent a lot fixing it and I sold it. At that time I found out that they were selling CB750 Hondas at the Base Exchange and bought the first one they sold. It was a great investment as I used to ride all over in Germany and went to Belgium to watch moto cross races and to Spa to watch automovile racing. Also visited Luxemberg,France and Holland. The bike was very reliable. I installed Powroll performance dual disc brake kit,Paul Dunstall fiberglass front fender and a set of clubman handle bars. I also removed the muffler baffles. I had a lot of fun with that bike. That was 52 years ago.

Hi all. I learned to ride on a 1978 CB750K my dad purchased new in 1978 from a dealership in Michigan. I picked the bike back up in 2005 and brought it to Kansas where I had it fixed up and rode for a few years before passing it on to someone new. I rode a VTX 1800 for a few years before going overseas (active Army) and then had about a 10 year break from motorcycles. I purchased an Indian Roadmaster in 2019 but kept my eyes open for another 78 CB750K to no avail. Unfortunately this year I lost my Dad to cancer and I am also retiring from the Army. So I have been on the lookout for a new CB750K8 and got lucky enough to find this one. I am so excited to start my retirement working on the same kind of bike my Dad had all those years ago.

Some neat things about this bike are the different front/rear ends. To the best of my knowledge it looks like they put a 1977-1978 CB750F front end on the bike. The guy I bought it from said this was because the brakes were better than the K model (probably true). Also this has a 4 into 1 exhaust which sounds great. The original front tire and the original pipes (with mild damage/holes) also came with it. Because of the modification the front tire is a bit bigger and also means they had to be creative with some wiring, unfortunately. I'm sure I'll have a bunch of questions about it as I work through it but I'm looking forward to making this a fun retirement gift to myself.

Last picture is of me on the original bike my dad purchased in 1978.

Hi!

This is my CB750 KZ RC01 from 1979. Bought it a couple years ago and spent two winters turning it into a Cafe Racer styled bike. Feel free to ask questions about the process.

Before and after pictures.

Beautiful machine! Did your clip-ons allow you to install them without sliding the fork down from the top clamps?
And what are you using for a battery?

Thanks! Unfortunately no, but its a pretty simple task to install them if you remove the front wheel and then lift the bike. I installed a Ultrabatt 300 cca Lithium battery under the cowl.

Just got this 81 750C a few weeks ago. Definitely a project with a few things to figure out. Just waiting for a bunch of building materials to be taken out of my garage so I have room to get started!
