K2 cam timing

I'm putting my rebuilt K2 back together but the camshaft sprocket bolt won't line up. Either way I go it's half a bolt width out. I've rotated the crank through 720° but still the same. New chain. Help please.
Just turn the cam that little bit? Do you have a honda manual? The procedure is pretty easy to follow in the manual.

i know the procedure is pretty easy and obvious but one way or the other it is half a bolt width out

Ok I discovered the problem the chain wasn't running true. I pulled the camshaft back out and looked down the front side and I could see it was off to one side. I shoved a large screwdriver down to wedge it over and rotated forward a few turns to get it running true.
