So my neighbor was selling the farm and told me there's an old motorcycle in the back barn and if I wanted it I could have it. Its missing some parts but just trying to find out if it's worth fixing.
As the airbox is missing , it may have had critters in the motor , can it can be turned over ? You can use the kick starter to find out . That will determine how much you would have to do . If it does , it wouldnt take much if it ran when parked

Yes the motor does turn over, it is missing the front brake system (caliper, brake line hose) but the bracket is there. And im confused on the air intake box. Is it better for the engine to have the original airbox or the cones that I've seen?
Apparently CB750 carbs particularly don't like those cone shaped individual air filters.
Better to find a standard airbox if you can.
The filters and rubber tubes are readily available still

The std airbox is the best . First pull and thoroughly clean the carbs , check spark/points and give it fuel . Like I said if it ran when parked , it should go . Have a look at brickhouse builds , bj does a lot of cb`s on it

These carbs are easily adjusted to run the pod filters. I run nothing but pod filters. The carbs on the dohc motors are the ones that dont like pods. The stock airbox works just fine and if you are going to run a stock motor no reason to not run the airbox and it gets rid of the noisy intake noise you get with the pods.
Unless you know how to do a proper point adjustment with gap, timing and dwell I would go with the dyna, adjust timing and wont have to mess with it again. honda spec calls for servicing points and complete check and adjust of all the engine maintenance items every 3000miles to keep it in proper tune....and they typically are out of adjustment slightly although they still run ok
