Hello Everyone,I just joined this site and I had an immediate question for You guys here...............I own a 2001 Honda CB750 Nighthawk and have never understood for the life of me,why they only made that model with a single disc brake up front!?!? It sort of looks cheezy to me and the braking ability has always been sub-par.

Anyway,I've owned this machine for about a decade now and it's been my only ride and I've put plenty of miles on her and have taken great care of her, doing periodic maintenance on her and so on as she's extremely reliable.

I'm always extremely envious whenever I see another "honda" rider, whose bike has a two-disc setup on the front forks! Yes,I'm aware that Honda probably made this bike that way to save money, save weight, and blah-blah-blah but I'm tired of having such lacking braking-performance from my front end! I recently even bought a brand-new aftermarket floating brake-disc and the brake fluid is full and is only about 9 months old. Also,I have a stainless-steel brake line instead of the rubber one,but none of these improvements have really done much to improve the braking performance on the front end.

So my question to all of You is,what's the easiest way to obtain forks with dual-discs that are the same size as my model bike (it has 41mm forks),so I won't have to replace the triple-trees and steering-stem? Yes,I know the front wheel will look different than the rear, but at this point, that's really not a concern of mine. Any help would be much appreciated and I thank you guys for taking the time to read my post here!

Seem to recall a dual disk variation of the CB750 Nighthawk was produced for the Euro market. Saw pics of them in the day. Don't remember what model designation was. If you can find one at a Euro or UK junkyard, could import the forks & wheel for plug & play. You'll need a master cylinder w/larger bore to match the increase in caliper fluid volume displacement. Not gonna be an inexpensive project any way you go.

We've never had any issue with braking performance on our stock '93 NH's for 70,000+ miles. The single disk will lock the front wheel on dry pavement with OEM pads and, works fine when wet. Appearance of single disk is irrelevant to us.

EDIT - To answer the OP question: Anything is possible if you throw enough money at it.
