just got this 80 750c and the bike came with these carbs and isnt running well. would start up fine then 5 mins or so after riding it would die. going to install the stock carbs and airbox and go from there. kinda confused what are these mini pods next to the oil cap and where is the hose supposed to go?

While I am not a fan of the two carb setup, the stock carbs are even more junk than these. The two carbs should at least be very adjustable with many jetting options. If it dies and you have to wait for it to cool you probably have an ignition issue....coils or the igniters going bad. You need to do a little detective work before you go to just throwing parts at it. When it dies does it start back up right away?? If it does it probably a running out of fuel issue, if it doesnt its probably loosing spark. Check spark when it dies if you have it give it some starting fluid or spray carb clean and see if it fires back up for a second then you know what direction you need to go.
