Installing carb dust boots

1972 CB750K2. I have the carbs bench synched and ready. Went and grabbed my brand spankin new carb dust covers. Oh Damn! Please tell me there is a way to install them without disassembling the carbs from the rack.

Unscrew the locking rings then if you lift the needle clear of the needle jet you can gently manouver them away from the fork and engage them one by one into the fork, I discovered this after doing the same as you!
