I'm about to buy my first CB750 please better inform me

I am thinking of buying a 1977 K7/ cb750. I want to make a full cafe racer build out of it but heard that the tank is a little wider and you get poor range of motion with clip ons. Is this true and are there way to fix it with out getting a different tank.

Lots of things are possible.
You could modify the K7 tank to clear the clip ons, or pay someone more skilled to do it for you.
Or you could use specially made clip ons which move the controls further forward, giving more clearance.
The K7 actually makes a good candidate for turning into a cafe racer, bobber, or whatever.
Because it doesn't have the "classic " 750K styling (it's similar, but it ain't the same), prices tend to be lower

Or you could use these style of bars . I had them on two or three bikes and found them comfortable as I am 6ft2
