Last weekend (9/26/26)I tried to swap out a newly powder coated timing cover. All I did was remove the backing plate from the old cover and installed it on the new cover. Now the bike will not start. I pulled the timing cover off, removed the backing plate and ignition advance mechanism. The index points for the engine are aligned to 1.4 F and the rotor reference is pointing up to the edge of the 1.4 pickup on the left. My Honda manual is saying it should point to the lower or left of the 1.4 magnet and the Internet says it should point in the center. This is really confusing. It should be noted that my bike was running last weekend before disassembly. I’m attaching photos for any assistance that any of you can provide. It is much appreciated. Can you help with any coaching on this one?

This photo was taken in Feb of 2025. Not the proper rotor index point on the red left pickup. 🤬 I do not know what I did.
