Most people, that I know of, just do their own work, perhaps sending-out paintwork or specific machine work. I'm sure you know there are lots of horror stories of allegedly qualified shops. I know of none in IL. I'm aware of two that do such work Randy's Cycle Service in VA and Vic World in CA

I can do everything on the outside of the bike, but I'm not sure I can build an engine well. has minimal oil spill
