I got given a non-running 77 F that I'm going to try to get going again.
It's been sitting in a Phoenix back yard for 2 years.
It's got no electrical power and both brakes are seized up (open not closed at least so I can roll it). The throttle barely moves but that could just be a cable issue. I've ordered a handful of parts from VintageCB750.com to at least start troubleshooting those issues I've mentioned. It's also missing both side covers, which the last owner says "fell off on the way to Bisbee".
The big problem is there's a rusted out spot on the gas tank right where the frame hanger is on the left side, and it's got a slow leak. I popped the cap, and the tank is just full of rusty gas, so I'm looking to replace the entire tank rather than chase rust issues for years. Anyone got leads on one for this bike? I've found some raw steel tanks in India on eBay but I don't trust those sellers.
