Any tips on installing a carburetors as in should I put the rubber intake on the motor first or the carburetors first I tried to carburetor way and I had trouble, any help would be appreciated

I got a system.

Boots go on motor.
Line up or start carbs going into boots as best you can.
Spray some wd40 on carb necks to help them slide in the rubber boots.
Take a nylon tie down strap, the kind that has a rachet, a 6 footer.
Wrap the tie down around the cylinders and the carbs.
Rachet them in gently. Wiggle them a bit, rachet in a bit. Repeat. Repeat.
Repeat. They will pop right in.

Just be careful where you run the strap around the cylinders, you don't wanna break or bend a fin.

Oh, and try to have all the cables installed before u set the carbs.
It's tight in there.

Ya, take the airbox out. But it needs to go back in after the carbs are set.
It's not hard, there's a hose on the bottom, it just pulls off. There might be 2 or 3 screws or bolts holding it to the frame.

It's very important to reinstall the airbox. The slides in the carbs rely on the restriction of airflow the box creates sucking in to lift them. It's the vacuum that is created that lifts them, unlike conventional slides that get pulled up by the throttle cable.

Do not listen to anyone that even mentions air filter pods.
Keep the air intake system stock.

Boots first, then carbs, then airbox, then airfilters, then filter access door, then fuel tank, then seat.

Good luck guy.
