Haven't used it myself yet. Pro-Grip recommends only rubbing alcohol for installing their grips and it's worked for me. I have a set of their grips on my 1980 K. Biltwell recommends WD-40 and that worked great too -- though their grips are a special rubber so this is probably a bad idea for other brands.
