1982 CB750C. Tank removed. Fairing removed. 10mm bolt removed from airbox for maximum wiggle room.
I removed carbs several weeks ago to purchase new carb and air boots.
I love this bike. I have only ride it home from purchase in June.
I am struggling to get air boots back on and get them in the groove. I have secured carb boots to carb. I seems that I have to secure air boots to carb and then pull back on box to get air boots in groove and help along by reaching inside air box.
Is there a trick, or do I have to struggle through it? Tips and tricks welcome.

This is my 4th Honda and I bought the bike so I could give it to my dad for father's day. No luck in securing air boots, yet.

Other bikes I own(ed) are the 1984 Magna 500, 1984 Magna 700, 2000 Valkyrie 1520, and a 1991 Suzuki Intruder 750. I welcome any conversation about any of those bikes on whatever platform or forum you choose, including private message.

Put them on the box first. Use light vaseline to lube em wherever needed. Slide the box on the carbs evenly. Loosely bolt the box to the frame. Rotate boots to adjust angles to get the tilt on the box right. Clamp everything down when you're happy w it.

It's still gonna be a pain in the ass but it works.
