Front brake on my 78k still dragging some even after caliper rebuild. Was told by good mechanic that fluid should squirt back into the master cylinder reservoir with apply and release of brake thru the two ports. It does on squeeze of lever on the inside hole but nothing on release. Took small wire and it went in far enough to apparently bottom out on something. Piston? Not sure what’s in there. Any comments appreciated.

there are two holes in the master cylinder one bigger than the other and the small one is VERY small i had this pointed out to me when mine was corroded and i didn't know it was there, a brake rebuilder sorted it out in his workshop, just to add i thought the factory had started to drill a hole in the wrong place but in there is a tiny tiny hole for the fluid

I have a lot of experience fixing this.Your problem relates to the piston in the caliper hanging up in the bore the piston in a stock caliper is aluminum and moisture over time corrodes it.The best route if you find it corroded is replacement with a stainless steel or phenolic piston and clean and hone the caliper body. This is a common problem in the early disc brake on Hondas. Hope this helps
