Fork oil capacity

I have a 1982 cb750c with the air assist (I think that’s what they’re called) fork caps. I’m planning to machine some new fork caps that would eliminate this air line. Would the needed fork oil capacity change? If so how much?

I don't add air to the air assist and see it only as a sales gimmick for the magazines of the day. I use the oil quantity stated in the manuals. What oil? ATF works just fine. If you don't use ATF then use a non-detergent oil like compressor oil because it doesn't foam. The best mod for brake dive is to make your own PVC spacers to a length that barely lets you screw on the caps.

I’ve never heard of using atf or compressor oil, that’s interesting. I usually run Amsoil shock therapy oil. I haven’t had any issues with that so far. I use the pvc stiffener trick in my r6 forks on my race bike, it works wonders.
