First CB750, Frame question, Can you ID this?

Just got a great condition 1980 CB750F.

This is my first CB, currently building a CX500 as well as my second BMW K75S.

Looking to cafe this bike (Wheels, minimizing electronics, etc.)

Can anyone identify these mods to the frame and swing arm:

Looks like a brace was added to the V section of the frame and there's a cage around the swingarm.

Been searching the net and can't find any pics of similar frames.

Want to make sure this isn't an edition of a CB750 that I shouldn't modify, or if the previous owner made these changes..

The guy I got the bike from doesn't know much of the history and only rode it twice before sitting it under a tarp for a year.

Looking forward to learning a lot from you guys.

Very interesting, thanks for the article. This now feels like I've adopted a grey hound that I'm retiring from racing. Likely going to revert to OEM setup and removing the brace, but hoping to sell some of the parts for anyone out there looking to get their bikes more into the racing lineage.
