Engine paint

If your engine is apart, I would suggest Ceracote. They have coatings that actually help with heat dissipation plus it applies thin but very durable.
I used this product on my side covers, fork tubes and love it. Only shortcoming is, some of the coatings require baking which shouldn't be to much of a problem if profesional is doing job for you. I made my own owen by using cheap smoker or you can get old stove and use oven to bake your parts...

Unfortunately, having now had a quote for cerakote, it's out of the budget by a long way.
2 years ago I had an XL500 exhaust done (full system) and it cost me £80 (I'm in the UK). Same guy is now quoting £60 just to do a small-ish rocker cover that's already been laser-cleaned.....
Sadly that means I'd likely be around £500 to have the whole engine done, and that's just out of the budget.
Thinking PJ1 gloss, unless anyone has specific experience and would recommend anything else?
