Is the block on this a gold color on purpose or is this a patina that comes off? Probably a stupid question. Feel free to riducule me if so.

I've seen Honda engine do this over time.

I'd say it's the heat coloring it. But I'm only guessing.

It real uniform even over the lower and mounts. I've yet to see another this color. If it's permanent I'll leave it cause it looks cool.
