Earlier vs later oil tank compatibility ?

Has anybody installed a 69-76 oil tank on a 77 F frame ? Im using a earlier gas tank on mine and want to use the earlier oil tank. Wondering if it bolts up/ fits before i buy one. Thanks for any info.

mounts and side covers are different and stock oil lines are different but they will fit.
