My Grand Daughter always wants to ask questions when we are riding so...

I just went and looked up intercomms and the prices are insane. Tiny little bluetooth devices are dirt cheap to manufacter and they are selling them for $200 - $250 a pop? Um sorry, no.

Even the hardwired kits are ridiculously priced. I'll probably just hit the local Radio Shack and make a system myself.

That is, unless someone has already done so and is selling the kits?
 
I've been keeping an eye on these systems for a few years now. They've gotten much better in the last few years. The expensive ones have a lot of features that it sounds like you don't need. You can talk to multiple riders in a group at once up to 1 mile and connect to your phone for music and phone calls. They will also connect to a GPS. Some have voice commands and other advanced features.
