Good day gentlemen. An update to my last post that was for front calipers. Unfortunately the seller that I bought the dual piston single front caliper has been unresponsive. So it looks like I won't be able to setup a singular disk braking system. My question today is this. I've been offered two single pistons brakes. They're tokico. I've seen them around but not sure if they fit. What is the difference between these two brakes? Will this fit on my 82 cb750 custom? And what is the difference between (front brake caliper 80) and (front brake caliper 1 82 to cm204181) Images attached.

Really realized my error on this one. I'll just learn to do a fork swap/triple tree swap with a newer motorcycle. For any other person that comes after me looking for this info and is also a noob I'll try and post here. May make a new post about the swap itself

Nah man. It ain't too bad. A triple tree swap or a fork swap should just be a couple bolts. I just gotta find a good one that way I ain't gotta do no measuring. Know of any?

Some general information for you, dual piston calipers need more fluid to push them out. The proper master cylinders have bigger pistons in them. Even more important if you run dual disk front brakes, could be up to 8 pistons on one wheel. As to switching to single piston, as long as they mount to your current fork & the disk runs in the middle of the caliper & the pad hits the right area of the disk, they will work. Check also if the back side is fixed or the system uses a piston on both sides of the disk. On the SOHC models the back side was stationary & had a screw to adjust the air gap on the back side of the disk. This system had an ear to put the screw in for that adjustment. Dual side piston systems will self-center themselves.

As an aside, I'm not big on mixing parts from different brands. Seems to cause more trouble than they solve. If you get the size of your fork tubes & the spread of the triple trees, you may find a different front end that has the features you like, that will fit right in.
