Crash Bar Install Question

How much of a task is it to install crash bars on a 1978 CB750F Super Sport? Do the engine mounting bolts need to come out?

Yes you will . If you use the smaller ones that wrap the alternator and ignition then you have to undo the two front mounting bolts on the downtubes and the front engine bolt under the motor . If you use the larger crashbar , then some of them just clamp to the front down tubes and some use the front engine bolts on the downtubes aswell as clamps to the downtubes
