Pulled apart the bottom end of the engine due to the crank chain breaking inside the motor. Crankshaft is missing a tooth on the gear. Can this be seperated and replaced or am I better off buying a whole new crank? Any suggestions on cranks if so? Used vs. New?

Nope can not be be fixed, crank is all one piece. You will need to look for a different one. Used is all that is available, new cranks have been unavailable for a long time. Watch ebay.

Keep your eyes open. I have seen bikes go for $100 at times, and personally bought a '79 CB750F for $250 a couple years ago. Plus, breakers regularly list engine parts.
