Cracked Upper Engine Mount

Hi everyone,

I recently purchased a 1978 Honda cb750f and by my mistake I did not inspect it very well being this is my first purchase motorcycle. There is a lot I need to do to get it running to my standards but one main issue that I am having is the upper engine mount is cracked pretty bad. Its not moving from where its cracked but I want to get it fix. Is it even possible to get it fix? My buddy told me to try and see if a welding shop could fix it up but I wanted others opinion on it before I take that step.

It should be weldable and probably wont warp anything as its far enough away from anything important. If possible I would have it welded with the engine bolted to the frame so everything stays aligned while it is welded.
