Couple of CB550 questions...

Went to our annual classic bike show/swap yesterday and was tempted rolleyes by a '74 CB550, but don't know much about them as far as model/year changes. It looks like the ignition switch was re-located in '77-'78 and that some had a 16" rear wheel and others had an 18"? And the tank has a different lid in '77-'78?
Can someone fill me in on these bikes or direct me to a source of info? Couldn't find a site for the 550...

I have a 72 cb500 and the motor is the same except the bigger bore on the 550. They are a good reliable motor. The later cb650 is basically a cb500 lower end. Not sure of an exact source for info. Cycle x and Dynoman are making parts for the 500's.
