Hi all, looking for some help please.
After replacing the clutch cable on my cb750 four k2 after about 5 miles there was a twang noise the clutch lever went loose and the bike stalled. I limped back and on inspection found the clutch actuator arm was stuck forward (in the engaged position) I have re adjusted the cable and lift screw 3 times and after a short ride it has happened on each occasion.
Any advice would be appreciated
Cheers.

Hi, I'm actually in the process of replacing my clutch in my 73cb750k3 and I'm not an expert, lol, but I found it to be fairly simple. Perhaps the spreader (the thing with 3 ball bearings) see the book, it might be sticking? Anyway popping the case and checking inside is pretty easy but when putting back together you'd need a new gasket and maybe new kick lever seal, center seal, and o ring on the adjuster peg. I found a guy on YouTube named Dean who builds a 73 750 Cafe bike. He has a section on the clutch. His show is "HACKAWEEK" and is excellent! So, Hackaweek on YouTube might help you out!

Hi KB, thanks for the information.
I have seen these videos and thought the same.
Before I started to strip the lift plate
I readjusted the the push rod that goes through(the screw that they say, screw in until resistance is felt and back off 1/4 of a turn)
My thought process was if it wasn't adjusted correctly could it allow the lift plate to operate excessively?.
Anyway, since resetting this and then checking the clutch actuator, with lever in and released to ensure full range of movement, it seems to be operating correctly 🤞
Thanks again, for taking the time to send the info.
