Charging system

I like to use the regulator off the early dohc bikes, basically the same as the aftermarket part you get but most aftermarket electronics anymore are junk. I try to use oem parts in bike, automotive and equipment anymore. Aftermarket stuff has gone down hill so bad I get brand new parts that are bad right out of the box. As they say you get what you pay for and low bargain basement price means low bargain basement junk.

Just an update. The phrase "you get what you pay for" now has a different meaning. In the past it meant that if you pay more you get better quality. Now if you say that someone "got what he paid for" it means the stockholders are gonna be mad because you gave a sucker an even break.

Anyone fitted the bargain basement combined rectifier regulator units being sold on ebay ?
Hello Jabixx, I'll try to be a bit more helpful.
I ditched the original two units in favour of a combined unit from David Silver Spares.
The paper instructions delivered with the Regulator/Rectifier unit were not too clear but in the end, fitting was easy and works absolutely fine.
