Changes made to the CB750K in 77-78

I’m trying to bump this older thread to see if anyone can provide measurements on the seat hinges on a 1977 or 1978 cb750k. I am finishing a basket case K7 that did not have a seat with it. I can fab up these hinges but it would be helpful if I knew the correct height of both of the hinges, which are different heights. I need the measurement from the flat side that mounts to seat to the midpoint of the hole the pin fits into. All the other dimensions I can get from the seats mounting bolts and the perches on the frame. Thanks in advance if anyone has a K7 or access to one.

Thanks Bill, but I got the measurement by mocking up the seat on the frame. Was able to get the measurement from the side and fab the part. It came out well and works perfectly. Purist would spot it but I can’t see it when I’m riding the bike.

Excellent. The hinges on one of the bikes are pretty rusty and I will need to make a new set for it. But I have the originals to copy. Cheers, Bill

Will do. They are mounted now but I will post a photo.

I left my perches closed on one side unlike the stock ones which are open on one side.

Those look excellent. 1" channel is perfect for them. I will most likely do the same. Cheers, Bill
